Heavy rains affected the region of Maharashtra and will lead to a drop in exports of table grapes.

The Maharashtra area has just suffered heavy rains and unheard of at this time , according to the producers. In the regions of Nashik , which normally exports to Europe, the Gulf and Asia , shipments fell sharply .

In this season, the Cooperative in the region is expected to export between 900 and 1000 containers per day , while it is only 250 to 300 containers that are shipped.The grapes for export and initially damaged by the rains will go to industry. Treated as raisins and sold on the domestic market.
