Anecoop: European leading watermelon provider

As the leading commercial operator of watermelons in Europe for the last 20 years, Anecoop plans to increase its exports this year.
During the 2009/2010 season, Anecoop sold 103 million kilos and this year the forecasts are for 108 million kilos, an increase of 5.2%, mainly under the Bouquet brand.
The strongest growth comes from seedless watermelons, especially red and mini with sales volumes rising 100% last year. This year, increased volumes will come from Mini Bouquet. Production of this variety has doubled and demand has increased.
Anecoop has decided on a major promotional campaign in its domestic market and abroad. It has used social network websites and TV campaigns. Promotion in overseas markets include poster campaigns in France and the Czech Republic (including tastings), and adverting in the press in Germany and Austria.
