Increase in exports of orange juice

Brazil has increased its exports of orange juice as well to the United States than to the EU, its two main customers.
According to data from SECEX (Secretaría de Comercio Exterior) exports of oranges juice (from July 2012 to May 2013) increased by 3% compared to the same period last year, totaling 1,094,000 tons.
Exports to the United States have gained in importance, increasing from 35% in volume to 205,200 tons of concentrate. In value terms, the increase is by 16% compared to the previous campaign, totaling $ 369 200 000.
To the European Union, the main destination of Brazilian juice, exports increased by 4% during this period, totaling 730,000 tons.
