Over the period from January to August 2023, exports of fresh fruit and vegetables recorded growth.
Greek fruit and vegetable exports perform well, with increases in both volume and value
Greek media reported that according to ELSTAT data, processed by INCOFRUIT-HELLAS, over the period January to August 2023 exports of fresh fruit and vegetables recorded increases of +13.7% in volume and +21.5% in value compared to the period in 2022.
Over the period January to August 2023, Greek fruit exports reached 1,031,425 tonnes (+10.8% on 2022), with an estimated value of EUR 928.01 million (+18.3%). Vegetable exports reached 222,616 tonnes (+29.5% on 2022) for an estimated value of EUR 202.96 million (+39.6%).
