Peruvian avocados believe that exports will increase by +40% due to increased demand in Europe.

The estimation of exports for 2014 reveals an expected increase by +40%.

ProHass, the Association of Peruvian Hass avocados producers, published an estimate of exports of 140,000 tons in 2014, an increase by +40%.

This increase will be drawn by growth in exports to Europe, which has received its first deliveries of the season. Demand in Europe present a constant increase each year, such as for example the consumption in Germany which has jumped. The main importers are Spain and Netherlands which re-export in mass to other European countries: 50% of Peruvian avocados received in Spain are re-exported and 90% to the Netherlands.
