The price of lemon rose by 30 % during June in Istanbul

The study, published monthly , lists the prices paid by consumers for , among others, different fruits and vegetables . It would be the lemon which, as in July, holds the record increase , followed by hazelnuts, which increased by 20 percent. For cons , the price of tomatoes fell by 37 % after the record price last month . The price of apricots and cherries also fell by about a third .
The new season of lemon does not begin until the end of August and it remains only on the market "cellared" lemons in Cappadocia during February in natural caves that are sold at golden prices, about 5 Turkish lira (€ 1 equals to approximately 3 Turkish liras ) .
