Russia decreases plums import volumes

According to the official data, Russia has significantly decreased import volumes of plums. Based on the recent information, approximately 45 000 tons of plums were imported to the fruits market of Russia during January – December period. This numbers are 2 times lower comparing to the previous year figures. It stands to mention that greatest slow down of fruits import has been registered in December. This could be traced to Russian embargo on fruits importing from Moldova – the main supplier of plums to Russian fruit market.
