Peru sees improvement in Tahiti lime export figures

Peru closed 2025 with higher exports of Tahiti lime, supported by growth in both shipment volumes and export value, according to the latest report by Agrodata.
Total exports reached US$43.0 million FOB in 2025, up from US$39.5 million in 2024. Export volumes increased more markedly, climbing to 47,143 tonnes, compared with 39,848 tonnes the previous year. Despite the higher volumes, the average export price declined to US$0.91 per kilo, down from US$0.99 per kilo in 2024.
Monthly data show strong export activity during the first quarter of the year, with January to March each exceeding US$6 million FOB. Shipments softened mid-year, particularly in July, before recovering in the final quarter. December exports reached US$3.71 million, with volumes close to 4,000 tonnes.
The United States remained Peru’s main destination for Tahiti lime in 2025, accounting for 36% of total export value, or US$15.6 million. Chile followed with 26%, while the Netherlands represented 10%.
Other relevant markets included Panama, the Dominican Republic, the United Kingdom, Canada, Costa Rica, and Honduras, reflecting a broad geographical spread across the Americas and Europe.
