In order to develop export market shares, it is essential that a strong national brand, as Chile has done, be established for Spanish stone fruits, reaffirmed the professional organization ASAJA Murcia.
According to ASAJA Murcia other countries have strengthened their brand image as Chile, Argentina and Morocco. Spain has not done so and presents a scattered offer on foreign markets. It is now essential that a national brand be established to strengthen the marketing of Spanish products for export.
The European market remains the No. 1 market for the stone fruit sector which seeks to diversify its destinations. Increasing volumes to markets such as Asia and the United Arab Emirates.
