CAMPOSOL has acquired 1,000 hectares in Uruguay for the production of citrus fruit (photo Embassy of Uruguay USA).
CAMPOSOL has purchased about 1,000 hectares for citrus fruit in the El Salto region (Uruguay), of which 500 are producing mandarins and another 500 hectares to develop. This operation completes the more than 500 hectares planted in Peru.
This acquisition is part of CAMPOSOL's strategy to consolidate as a world leader in fresh produce. The company is already recognized by the largest supermarkets in North America, Europe and Asia for its value proposition based on the quality and traceability of its products.
"Being present in Uruguay will enable us to become a mandarin supplier throughout the southern hemisphere marketing season, and thus better serve our customers through our commercial platform in the US, Europe and China", said Jorge Ramirez, general manager of Camposol.
