Exports of watermelons have increased by 107% compared to last year.
The exports of watermelons from Peru has increased of more than 100%.
The tax administration service in Peru (SUNAT) announced that exports of watermelons have increased by 107% in January and February compared to the same period last year.
These exports were driven by demand from the Netherlands, which represents 56% of those sales. The other destinations were the United Kingdom and Chile. Sales would have totaled U.S. $ 500,000 for that period.
