Peru organic fruit and vegetable exports reach $79 million in early 2026

North America and Europe continue to lead demand for Peru’s certified organic fresh produce.
Peru exported around $79 million worth of organic fruit and vegetables in the first two months of 2026, according to the latest report from the CIEN-ADEX research centre. The figures show continued demand for certified fresh produce across Peru’s main export markets early in the year.
Organic blueberries were the top-performing product in value terms during the period, followed by bananas and mangoes, which also recorded strong shipment volumes. These crops remain among the most established items in Peru’s organic export basket, supported by stable production and regular supply programmes.
North America remained the largest destination for organic fruit and vegetable shipments, with Europe ranking second. These markets continue to account for the majority of demand for certified fresh produce, particularly during the Northern Hemisphere winter season, when Peru supplies off-season fruit.
The January-February data provide an early snapshot of export activity for 2026, showing that organic fruit and vegetable shipments continued across multiple destinations and product categories as the season moved forward.
