This IFS Food certification - Higher Level Mention reflects the high standards of SIIM and its processes in terms of product quality and safety.
Only operational since September 1, this new platform of more than 12,000 m2, combining innovation, ergonomics and performance, has just obtained IFS Food certification - Higher level mention.
If the previous SIIM facilities - building C3 of the MIN de Rungis - had been IFS Food certified since 2014, the new SIIM ripening and packaging platform, opened on August 31, has just obtained IFS Food certification (version 6.1) - Higher level mention (96.67%).
Obtaining certification with superior mention of the International Featured Standard (IFS) Food, the main food safety and quality benchmark at the international level, reflects the high level of requirement of SIIM and its processes in terms of quality and product safety and its ability to comply with strict specifications meeting the highest standards.
“Just a few weeks after the start of our new ripening platform at Rungis, obtaining this demanding and essential certification for the fresh fruit and vegetable sector is an extraordinary performance of our quality and operational teams, which demonstrates the expertise and the know-how of our organization, for which food safety is necessarily a daily priority in the service of our European customers and consumers ”indicates Vérane Moreno, quality director within the Omer-Decugis Group.
This certification is part of the quality policy and responsible commitments of the Omer-Decugis Group, the real backbone of a sustainable development strategy based on 3 founding pillars: best agricultural practices at an international level (Global GAP), strong environmental commitments (Carbon neutral, Rainforest Alliance) as well as strong social vigilance (BSCI, Global Gap / Grasp) to serve the Group's commitments in favor of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
