The cherry is on the rise in exports of Turkish fruits and vegetables

The purpose of Turkish exporters, according to the President of the Union of Exporters of fruits or vegetables of Uludag, is now to reach 170 million dollars of exports. The season began in May 15 with the early varieties and should continue until the middle of August. Last season approximately 55-60 000 tonnes were exported and current forecasts are 10 percent increase for this season, if rain does not damage the fruit, which has been the case in certain regions for the early varieties.

The most important importer countries are Germany, Bulgaria, Russia, Holland and the Middle East.
