Innovation for Kuehne + Nagel: The total quantity of CO2 emissions generated by shipping is now printed on each invoice.
An additional step in respect of the environment in the global maritime navigation services with Kuehne + Nagel becoming the first logistics provider to mention the total amount of CO2 emissions generated on each invoice.
Through this initiative, Kuehne + Nagel customers are able to improve the analysis, reporting and management of CO2 emissions caused by their transport chain, thereby reducing long-term environmental impact.
Kuehne + Nagel uses data from its Global Seafreight Carbon Calculator (GSCC), a tool for calculating CO2, SOx (sulfur oxide) and NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions, in compliance with European Standard EN16258, The Clean Cargo Working Group (CCWG) calculation method and the EcoTransIT World method.
