Peruvian grape export season in full swing

From week 34 of 2022 to week 6 of 2023, Peru exported 61,124,095 boxes of table grapes of 8.2 kilos each, says the Association of Table Grape Producers of Peru (Provid).

 

The Sweet Globe variety constitutes 30% of the total volume shipped, followed by Red Globe 19% and Allison 9%. The main production areas are Piura (46%), Ica (40%), and Lambayeque (7%), among others (7.3%).

 

The Association plans to export a total of 73,057,469 boxes throughout the 2022/23 season.

 

Some 33,502,388 million boxes would correspond to the white varieties, 19,102,463 to red varieties, 2,892,685 to black varieties and 14,251,087 to Red Globe.
