Unintended consequences of disturbances in US ports on the West Coast : McDonald's restaurants in Japan lack fries.

3200 McDonald 's restaurants in Japan have started to impose a " rationing " of chips to their customers. Of the 3 usual portion sizes of french fries , only the smaller size is available.

The reason : the conflicts in the ports of the West Coast of the United States slowed considerably all shipments , disrupting all exports . You should know that McDonald Japan uses only potatoes grown and processed in the United States , which means that the sign can not use other providers in other countries.

To solve these problems the company has taken emergency measures: by refueling aircraft with nearly 1 000 tonnes of frozen chips shipped exports and new boats , but this time from the ports on the east coast of the United States.
