Scientists have found that the consumption of potatoes is good for the heart.
A study published in the Annals of Medicine rehabilitates potatoes. They provide essential elements such as vitamin C and vitamin B6, potassium, magnesium, fiber, elements that can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol level.
If the study shows the benefits on the cardiovascular status, the role of potatoes in weight management is less clear. Scientists divert the issue, gaining weight is not a direct result of the consumption of fried food but bad associations of food.
