The next World Food Istanbul based on the Turkish Lira.

 

Thus, the most important fair on Food, to be held next September, will sell its stands not in dollars but in Turkish lira.

 

Mr. Zekeriya Mete, President of the Istanbul Union of Exporters of Pulses, Cereals, Oilseeds and Their Products, says that the Turkish food and beverage sector has grown significantly over the past decade, With a definite beneficial influence in the Turkish economy. For this reason, and in order to strengthen the dynamism of the sector, the organizers have made this decision.

 

The objective is to gather more than 1,000 brands out of the 60,000 m2 of the fair and to welcome more than 35,000 professionals from the sector, particularly from Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Africa North and the Balkan countries. This fair is very important for the image of Turkey. Special invitations to participate in specific events will be launched to foreign companies.
