Ahold sells Spanish operations to Permira Funds

Ahold has announced that it has sold its Spanish retail stores to equity firm Permira Funds. The value of the transaction is around EUR 685 million. Ahold operates almost 600 stores in Spain with annual sales of around EUR 2 billion.
