Demand growing for blueberries

Californian blueberry production almost doubled this year. Growers in the state produced about 4.5 million kilos of blueberries, compared to around 2.5 million in 2004. However, increased demand for the fruit absorbed the extra production, and this trend is expected to continue next year.
