Israel-EU agreement on food interchange

Israel has reached last week an important agreement with the European Union through which tariffs and quotas are abolished on about 95% of exchanged food products (including drinks, chocolate, bakery products, coffee and pasta).
According to Israel, through the abolition of the 40% tariff the two Countries’ trade exchange in the agrofood sector - so far unbalanced in favour of the European Union -should now allow Israeli companies to effectively compete on the EU market.
