Spar will extend its hypermarkets in India

On the most promising emerging market, Spar International and its partner Max Hypermarkets,  expects a rapid expansion.

In the first phase of expansion , Spar will open one hypermarket in Delhi of 4600 m2. The opening is scheduled for January 19th at Pacific Mall, Rajouri Garden and then another one hypermarket at the Metropolis center in Gurgaon, and 1 at the Inorbit center in Pune. Both will have sales areas identical to that of Delhi.

The company, which has 5 stores with a size between 2787 m2 and 6500 m2 has announced the opening of 30 additional stores by 2013.
