Citrus production has declined in the state of Tamaulipas

The state of Tamaulipas, located in northern Mexico, on the border with the United States, records a decrease in citrus production.
The president of the Regional Union of Citrus, Javier Ibarra Echartea stressed that harvests reached 400,000 tonnes per year at present. When only 5 years ago the annual orange production was above 600 000 tonnes.

In addition, another scourge known as the "yellow dragon" whose presence is confirmed in the state and could strongly continue to threaten production.
