Peruvian blueberry exports grow 42% and set new milestone

Conventional blueberries led the growth, supported by strong gains in the organic sector.
Peru registered a new record in blueberry exports, reaching 317,997 tons shipped abroad up to week 16 of the 2024-2025 season, according to Proarándanos. This result represents a 42% increase over the previous season and strengthens the presence of Peruvian blueberries in international markets.
Of the total, 283,533 tons correspond to conventional blueberries, while organic blueberries totaled 34,464 tons, showing an outstanding 51% growth.
97% of the volume was transported by sea, 3% by air, and a small portion by other means.
