The Peruvian blueberry export season, which began in July 2021, ended in March 2022 with a total of 219.000 tons shipped, registering an increase of 36.8% compared to the 160.000 tons exported in the previous season, according to the president of the consultancy Informa@cción, Fernando Cillóniz Benavides.
The main destinations were the United States, the Netherlands, China, the United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, and others.
The supply of blueberries in the country no longer only comes from Chavimochic (La Libertad) as it did a few years ago, but now there is supply from Olmos (Lambayeque), Ica, Callejón de Huaylas (Áncash), Cañete and Norte Chico (Lima), who each year increase production volumes.
