Good performance of exports

Positive progression continues for Spanish exports of fruits and vegetables.

FEPEX announces that exports of fruits and vegetables, during the January-May 2014 period increased by +15% in volume and +2% in value compared to the same period of 2013. In total 5.6 million tons of fruits and vegetables for a value of € 5,219,000, with an average price, which stood at 0.93 euros/kilo.

For only the month of May, fruit exports totaled 714,584 tons, up to +30% compared to May 2013, the exports of vegetables reached 406,114 tons, a decrease of -4% compared to the same month in 2013 .
