First Avocado Quality Meter Workshop of 2020 Held for World’s Largest Avocado Producers

Launched in January 2019, the industry-disrupting Avocado Quality Meter allows growers, packers, importers and others to measure the dry matter of avocados non-destructively while still on a tree. Over the last 12 months, the device has become very popular worldwide and major avocado companies already shorten dry matter measurement processes from days and hours to just seconds. Eric Munoz-Garcia, Application Scientist at Felix Instruments and Ivonne Chica, Customer Relationship Manager, spent a week in Mexico with some of the largest and most influential avocado producers in the world. Workshops focused on training staff on best practices using the F-751 Avocado Quality Meter in packing houses and produce testing labs.
