First Avocado Quality Meter Workshop of 2020 Held for World’s Largest Avocado Producers
VV
Launched in January 2019, the industry-disrupting Avocado Quality Meter allows growers, packers, importers and others to measure the dry matter of avocados non-destructively while still on a tree. Over the last 12 months, the device has become very popular worldwide and major avocado companies already shorten dry matter measurement processes from days and hours to just seconds. Check a use case from Mission Produce here.
Eric Munoz-Garcia, Application Scientist at Felix Instruments and Ivonne Chica, Customer Relationship Manager, spent a week in Mexico with some of the largest and most influential avocado producers in the world. Workshops focused on training staff on best practices using the F-751 Avocado Quality Meter in packing houses and produce testing labs.
