The stand of the Chilean Fruit at CHINA FVF.
ASOEX (Asociación de Exportadores of Frutas de Chile) and PROCHILE organized the Chilean sector participation in the exhibition CHINA WORLD FRUIT & VEG. FAIR (CHINA FVF) which recently held in Beijing (30.10 / 01.11).
Chilean professionals have multiplied meetings with Chinese officials, with distributors and importers to discover the full extent of Chilean fresh produce and strengthen their presence in the Chinese market.
The Chinese market is now the second destination of Chilean fruit exports and registered a growth of 227% in just 6 years.
Last year China and Hong Kong imported 285,068 tons of Chilean fresh fruit with a growth of 14.3% over the previous year. The main fruits exported to China and Hong Kong are table grapes (43% of total), cherries (25% of total), plums (11% of total), kiwi (9% of the total), apples (6%) and avocados (2%).
