The CAAB organises numerous initiatives such as Family Day to encourage a healthy diet for all.
CAAB, the wholesale market, and the city of Bologna organised a Family Day.
On Saturday, December 15, many initiatives took place at the market. Entertainment, games as well as meetings on themes such as eating and the fight against obesity were held. The report is alarming as more than a third of European children aged 5-13 years are obese or overweight.
One of the keys to the fight against this scourge seems to be the
consumption of fruits and vegetables. But in Italy, over the past 10 years, the consumption of fruit and vegetables fell by 25%. Price has become an obstacle for the most disadvantaged families. The municipality of Bologna with the CAAB gives an additional discount of 10% to the holders of the Family Card POS All'Ortomercato.
