“Bigger sizes for pears came much more in demand”

Shares Kees Oskam from trading Company Jan Oskam BV. Family business specializes on import and export vegetables, fruits and citrus products, but mainly concentrates on the export of own apples and pears grown in Dutch soil.
“After rather quiet month of December 2018 with ‘so-so’ sales, we repacked the positive flow in the new year”, - explains Mr. Oskam. “Pears Comice and Lukas came much more in demand and for Conference, especially bigger sizes, were really much more interest”.
Company sells pears and apples all over Europe. Lukas and Comice pears will be available till the middle of March 2019. According to Mr. Oskam conference pears season this year has started around 15th
of August, 2018 and he expects to have this variety till middle of July 2019.
“Looking back on the last months of 2018 it was not really easy, but we build off the stocks in a reasonable way. And we will try to do that in the New Year too. During Fruit Logistica in Berlin we will try to speak with the many contacts we do business with. Everybody is welcome to meet us in Holland pavilion - Hall 3.2 Booth B12”, - ends Kees Oskam.
