The shipments have already surpassed projections.
Europe is proving to be a powerful destination for Peruvian blueberries this season, with exports showing record growth.
According to figures released by Proarándanos, Peru’s industry association, shipments of fresh blueberries to Europe have reached 31,222 tonnes so far in the 2025–2026 export campaign. This marks an impressive 166% increase compared to the same stage of the 2024–2025 season, and even exceeds initial forecasts by 15%.
The La Libertad region has led this remarkable growth, accounting for over 15,800 tonnes, or 51% of total exports. It was followed by Lambayeque and Áncash, which also contributed significantly to the campaign’s performance.
Among the key exporting companies to Europe were Complejo Agroindustrial Beta (13% market share), Camposol (12%), Danper Trujillo (10%), Intipa Foods (5%), and Hortifrut Perú (5%).
When it comes to varieties, Ventura led the way with 34% of exports, followed by Sekoya Pop with 17%.
In terms of logistics, Rotterdam has consolidated its position as the main European entry point, receiving 62% of all shipments. This underscores the port’s strategic importance in the continent’s fruit distribution network.
With these results, Peru continues to strengthen its presence in the global berry market and reaffirm its position as one of the world’s top blueberry suppliers.
