Peru sets new record for mandarin exports

North America and Europe are solidifying their positions as the top destinations.
As of October 28, 2024, Peru exported 210,658,965 kilograms of fresh mandarins, a 31.95% increase compared to the 159,652,055 kilograms exported during the same period in 2023, according to data from the consulting firm Inform@cción.
This year, the country surpassed the previous record of 206,310,765 kilograms in 2022, thanks to increased productivity without new plantings.
The leading regions were Ica and Lima, with 115,569,463 kilograms (+37.46%) and 77,641,129 kilograms (+42.65%) respectively.
North America was the main destination (82,900,485 kilograms), followed by Europe (77,030,013 kilograms), Latin America (36,458,754 kilograms) and Asia (14,820,577 kilograms).
