Sunkist connects shoppers with family growers through new displays
The company is taking the campaign directly into stores with a creative refresh across bins, displays, and point-of-sale materials.
Sunkist Growers is unveiling a redesigned set of merchandising tools aimed at boosting citrus sales and inspiring produce shoppers as the cooperative gears up for peak season.
Building on the success of its Sunny Days brand platform, Sunkist is taking the campaign directly into stores with a creative refresh across bins, displays, and point-of-sale materials. The updated grower bins serve as the centrepiece, putting the spotlight on the cooperative’s multi-generational family farmers. Bold graphics, clear variety labelling, and authentic storytelling link consumers with the people behind the fruit, giving the produce section a modern, eye-catching presence designed to translate brand recognition into sales.
Research commissioned by Sunkist confirms that brand familiarity and in-store promotions remain strong drivers of citrus purchases. The new merchandising suite addresses these insights with seasonal artwork, consumer-friendly messaging, and adaptable display options for produce departments nationwide.
“Merchandising is where brand storytelling meets the purchase decision,” explained Cassie Howard, Senior Director of Category Management and Marketing at Sunkist Growers. “By pairing bold creative with category insights, we’re making it easier for shoppers to say yes to citrus, engage with our growers, and keep citrus front of mind all season.”
The expanded toolkit covers a wide range of offerings, from Navels, Lemons, Mandarins, and Grapefruit to specialties such as Cara Caras and Blood oranges. Sunkist continues to lead the category in branded Blood oranges, with its 2lb bag proving especially popular thanks to its value positioning and alignment with fruit size. Combined with the refreshed bins and creative assets, these programmes give retailers versatile options to feature in-season favourites and drive incremental sales.
