Citrus producer highlights partnership supporting breast cancer awareness
Sunkist Growers Inc. will participate in the Global Produce & Floral Show 2025 in Anaheim under the theme “Welcome to the Co-Op — Powered by Growers, Driven by Purpose.”
The U.S.-based citrus cooperative Sunkist Growers Inc. will participate in the Global Produce & Floral Show 2025 in Anaheim under the theme “Welcome to the Co-Op — Powered by Growers, Driven by Purpose.” The company will present two booths focused on seasonal citrus, retail tools, and initiatives that connect sustainable production with meaningful consumer engagement.
At Booth 3039, Sunkist will showcase its Power with the Pink Orange™ program, developed in partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). Centred on Cara Cara oranges, the initiative combines specialty citrus with awareness and education activities supporting those affected by breast cancer. The campaign features limited-edition pink ribbon packaging, educational materials, and an optional retail match program to extend its reach. The company reports higher Cara Cara sales compared with last year, reflecting growing consumer interest in the variety. Visitors can also explore Sunkist’s Holiday Citrus tools, which include refreshed packaging, nostalgic display options, and promotional materials to support seasonal in-store storytelling.
At Booth 2097, Sunkist will feature Cali™ Mandarins, grown in California and known for their sweet flavour and convenient size. A recent consumer study commissioned by the cooperative indicated that most respondents rated these mandarins highly for taste, peelability, and snack appeal. The new Seasonal Star marketing campaign uses child-friendly visuals and in-store promotions designed to boost shopper engagement and repeat purchases.
