The Argentina mandarins compete successfully in the international market and accompany the continued rise in the global offering, with high quality production and competitive prices.
Argentina has a wide range of varieties that allows supply the market during most of the year.
The main producing provinces of mandarins are Entre Rios and Corrientes, located in the Mesopotamian region. The Argentina Northwest Region (NOA), formed by the provinces of Jujuy, Salta and Tucuman, contributing his excellent early and late production. Finally the provinces of Buenos Aires and Santa Fe, in the Coastal Region, are the southern most area of Argentina on citrus fruit production is concerned.
Since the beginnings of colonization, Argentina has orange plantations in two regions, which have become traditionally citrícolas for the country. The Argentina Northwest Region
(NOA), comprising the provinces of Salta, Jujuy and Tucuman, and the Mesopotamian region formed by the provinces of Misiones, Corrientes and Entre Rios. The latter's citrus production has been expanding until achieve another important pole in what today is called the Coastal Region, an area that includes the southern tip of the province of Santa Fe and part of northern province of Buenos Aires.
The diversity of land and climatic characteristics, between parallels 20 and 40, make the potential production of high quality is very high, making Argentina oranges provide a very good coloration, an important feature for the international market product fresh. At the same time, producers are Argentinians who specialize in cultivating varieties of oranges or peeled hulled which is as simple as possible to facilitate the work of the ultimate consumer.
