GLOBALG.A.P. made announcement about certificates due to corona virus

GLOBALG.A.P. wants to prevent the corona virus from spreading, and keep everyone safe, while at the same time ensuring that members have access to products from certified farms. Emergency procedure for certificate extension will take part due to travel restrictions within some regions. GLOBALG.A.P. inspections/audits that become due may be postponed.


According to existing system GLOBALG.A.P. certificates may be extended for up to 4 months.


For the COVID-19 pandemic, GLOBALG.A.P. has announced a temporary rule: certificates can be extended up to 8 months. This will allow certification body to delay the on-site inspection/audit if necessary.


Extended certificates are considered valid.
