Fall of the plantings of potatoes in Hungary

Hungary : the plantings of potatoes will represent only 28.400 hectares area this year, that means a 8 % fall and a decrease by half since 1990. The 2003 yields have been affected by the dryness that led a reduction of a 1/3 of the production in relation to 2002. The production should not go over 400.000 tons.
