Sales fall again at Laurus
Netherlands
Wednesday 27 April 2005
Dutch retailer Laurus has announced a 10-percent drop in first quarter sales.
The sales figure of EUR 726 million was described as "disappointing" by CEO Harry Bruijniks.
Laurus sales are being affected by a fierce price war in the Dutch supermarket sector and is implementing a recovery plan which will see cost reductions and store refurbishments.
