Difficult harvest for Sweet chestnuts

COAG of Malaga asked for helps to compensate for the losses registered by the producers of sweet chestnuts. This year, production could not exceed 2.200 tons because of heat waves. Harvest decline is 40 % less than the production of a normal year. The harvest is already ended (15 days beforehand) because a part of fruits fell prematurely and the other part, drier than usually, will not become ripe.
