Fred Wu, founder and CEO of DeltaTrak, has been acknowledged by Food Logistics for the 2024 Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award in the Lifetime Achievement category. Wu’s work has helped revolutionize cold chain technology.
Wu, who founded DeltaTrak, Inc. in 1989, is a supply chain industry pioneer in developing real-time cold chain and food safety solutions. He holds multiple patents related to cold chain technology, including a single-use, in-transit temperature recorder – DeltaTrak’s first product. Additionally, he has patented firmware called 'Shadow Logging' that guarantees that the trip data is always available even if the operator forgets to activate the logger, along with a Chain of Custody ecosystem, UBQ Network. This integrates both product quality and transactional data on a single platform, providing real-time, end-to-end whole chain visibility and traceability of each transaction.
In addition to serving as CEO at DeltaTrak, Wu sits on the boards of several technology companies, such as Incrypton, Dapicon, Prizm Medical and DataMark.He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and a master's degree in finance from the University of Southern California
