Sour cherries started cracking due to rainy weather

The weather in June adversely affected the quality of strawberries and cherries. Also sour cherries orchards suffered damage because of heavy rains.

 

There is still time left to the cherries harvest, but fruits on trees have already started cracking. If the weather doesn’t change, the quality of sour cherries will only be worse.

 

 

Let us remind that sour cherries crops were forecasted at 150 – 160 thousand tons. However the rainy weather can influence the harvest and quality of fruit.
