Among 500 transformed and renewed stores, 245 will take the brand " Carrefour Planet ".
Carrefour, world N°2 of distribution, is going to invest 1,5 billion euro to renew its hypermarkets in Europe.
The group Carrefour is going to invest 1,5 billion euro between 2011 and 2013 in a vast plan of transformation of its European hypermarkets (France, Spain, Belgium, Italy and Greece).
500 stores are concerned, 245 will take the brand name "Carrefour Planet ".
Carrefour Planet will be friendlier and better adapted to consumers needs. Grouping by centre of interest: food, fashion, leisure, activities-media … and as well creation of new services (nurseries, alterations…).
5 experimental stores, launched in Lyon, in Spain and in Belgium seduced the consumers.
Carrefour plans a 18 % growth of hypermarkets by 2015.
