AH offers a range of "original" vegetables

These "original" vegetables have a single fault they do not match the criteria of appearance of Fruits & Vegetables usually sold.

The Dutch retailer Albert Heijn launched its webshop ( AH.nl. ) from mid-December the " buitenbeentjes " or "original / different". Quality of vegetables produced by traditional suppliers in the chain , but has different appearance.

The cucumber is not perfectly straight and the core is deformed . But they are just as tasty as "normal" and vegetables are sold cheaper (-25 % on average). The 1st batch were offered a seasonal assortment with apples, kiwis, oranges, carotttes , a pepper and cucumber.
