Great expectations for organic avocados season of ROYPACK ENTERPRISES
Roypack Enterprises, organic avocados grower from Kenya expect a great harvest up to 80 tons weekly for the next season….
Roypack Enterprises, grows organic and conventional avocados mainly for the export market in Europe. The company is based on the Murang'a, the sub-tropical Central
of Kenya, which has the perfect agricultural and
climate conditions for the production of avocados.
With its dynamic team of specialists and the know-how of 10 years of experience and professionalism in the sector the company strives daily to bring the best produce to the consumers’ table. All of this is accompanied by the utmost care of and respect for the environment.
The main avocado season starts from March to August. Company grows two main varieties: Hass and Fuerte. Farms and pack lines are Global gap + Grasp and organic certified and before the 2018 season in March Roypack will obtain also BRC food certification. For the next season the avocados harvest is expected to reach 80 tons weekly.
Now there is a 2nd crop season that started from September to December. Wilberforce Ngugi, Director of Roypack Enterprises announces: “Currently we have volumes of 20 tons a week up to the end of December. The quality is good, fruits are mature with a 20% plus and oil contents of 11 to 17%. We are ready to export sizes 14-30 packed in 4kgs and 10kgs boxes”
Roypack Enterprises is looking to grow its exotic horticulture company and extend its export with objective to supply fully certified and safe products to the European Market.
