Fruit Attraction 2011 has already booked 27% more space than last year's fair
The next edition of the fruit and vegetable trade fair, FRUIT ATTRACTION 2011, has seen exhibitor bookings increase 27% over total fair space in 2010.
Three months before FRUIT ATTRACTION, which is co-organised by FEPEX and IFEMA, space bookings amount to 13,983 square metres, 27% more than the total space occupied during the last edition of the fair. The fair will be held in two halls, Feria de Madrid’s Hall 7 and Hall 9.
The parallel events will include, on the one hand, various single-product technical workshops aimed at representatives from the international production, commercialisation and research sectors, including the “II International Symposium on the Pomegranate” and the “Conference on Stone Fruit in European Distribution”. On the other hand, other activities related to promoting consumption will take place under the name of Fruit Fusion, as in previous years. Furthermore, the Committee analysed the evolution of the international guest programme, which will attract more than 600 heads of international distribution chains invited to the trade fair at the request of the exhibitors themselves.
The Committee also studied ways to strengthen FRUIT ATTRACTION as a tool for promoting the quality of Spanish fruit and vegetables after the crisis caused by the false food safety alarm in Germany.
Consequently, it encouraged increasing exhibitor participation at the trade fair; booking will remain open until days before the event takes place from 19 to 21 October.
