ComexPerú, organization of foreign trade of Peru, revealed that 60 countries received Peruvian fresh grapes in 2015 but only 10 countries purchased 87% of these shipments.
Peruvian grapes took the US direction (29% of total) and the Netherlands (13%), China (12%), Hong Kong (11%) and the UK (6 %). Then, Canada and Thailand (4% each), South Korea and Russia (3% each) and British (2%).
In 2015, Peru has positioned itself as the fifth exporter of fresh grapes, after Chile, the United States, China and Italy, said ComexPerú. Adding that production in Peru has the advantage of being throughout the year, unlike most of the producing countries that have a precise production window.
Peru exported in 2015 to USD 702.6 million, or higher incomes by 9.4% than in 2014, 58.5% higher than in 2013 and 92% higher than in 2012.
