Peru’s avocado export volume rises in March year on year

The Netherlands remained the top destination for Peruvian avocados.
Peru’s avocado export volume rose in March compared with the same month last year, according to Agrodata Peru.
Exports reached 85,021 tonnes in March 2026, generating $184.9 million, compared with 67,858 tonnes worth $142.8 million in March 2025. The average export price rose to $2.18 per kg, up from $2.10 per kg a year earlier.
For the first three months of 2026, Peru exported 124,668 tonnes of avocados valued at $271.4 million, compared with 823,679 tonnes worth $1.48 billion shipped during the full 2025 season. The average price so far in 2026 stands at $2.18 per kg, higher than the $1.80 per kg recorded in 2025.
The Netherlands remained the leading destination for Peruvian avocados in 2026, with exports valued at $117.6 million. Spain followed at $51.6 million, while the United States accounted for $0.8 million. Other markets included the United Kingdom ($18.0 million), Chile ($14.4 million), China ($25.2 million) and the Russian Federation ($15.2 million).
