Export of apples from Azerbaijan to Russia

Last year (2012) was quite successful for Azerbaijan apples producers, as they managed to increase apples supply to Russian market.

More than 45 000 tons of apples have been delivered to Russia last year from Azerbaijan.

This number surpasses the previous year figures, which are almost 48 % less. At the same time demand for apples in the market in Azerbaijan itself has greatly increased during the last year (5 %). This leads to increasing of imported apples in markets and stores inside the country (up to 16 000 tons of apples per year).
