Exports to Europe will reach $ 1 800 million

In 2014 exports of fresh fruits and vegetables to the European market will reach 1 800 million US$.

It is the association AGAP (Asociación de Gremios Productores Agrarios del Perú) that advances this figure. The European market is the main destination of 45% of the Peruvian production. The best-selling product is avocado, which increases its market share by 25% per annum. In 2013, shipments to Europe totaled more than 1,500 million US$ .

The increase in turnover will be achieved due to new markets (Russia, Poland, Hungary, Romania) which have recently opened to trade with Latin America.
